Safiery - STAR-tank - Bluetooth radar tank sensor
The Safiery STAR-Tank tank sensor is a battery-powered radar tank sensor specifically designed for integration into Victron Energy systems. Connecting reliably to GX devices via Bluetooth Low Energy , the sensor transmits tank level data (0–200 cm) and temperature directly to the monitoring system every 60 seconds. The radar technology enables precise measurement even with foam on the tank contents and offers significantly higher accuracy than conventional ultrasonic sensors.
Installation is flexible: On plastic or fiberglass tanks, the sensor can simply be glued to the included base plate. Metal tanks require the SAE 5-hole adapter to ensure a clear view of the liquid. For a persistent Bluetooth connection, we recommend an external USB Bluetooth adapter such as the TP-Link UB400 or UB500 , as the Cerbo GX 's internal Bluetooth chip is deactivated at high temperatures.
The STAR tank boasts a long battery life of 3–5 years, depending on tank height and fill level, and is compatible with Victron Venus OS out of the box. The dead zone under the sensor is 3 cm, and the maximum range is 200 cm, configurable in three zones. With easy installation, precise radar measurement technology, and a reliable wireless connection, the Safiery STAR tank is the ideal solution for tanks in boats, RVs, and off-grid systems.
