Circumnavigation / Phase 1 - Buying a boat

We plan to undertake our circumnavigation with a 40-46 foot boat. We haven't yet decided which hull material we'll choose—aluminum, steel, or fiberglass.

Whether or not to have a deck saloon is still up for debate. What is certain, however, is that the boat should be a reliable and safe companion on our journey, in top condition. We also want to have enough space on board to bring friends, family, and supporters along on individual legs.
